Waiting On The Storm
Out in the middle of the Gulf Of Mexico lies a storm racing towards our
home. They seem to be lining up in the Atlantic Basin, as a seemingly
calculated attack on the shores of our cities. In ancient times people would
surely believe " the Gods must be angry ".
This is a test, it is only a test. For the next 10 minutes I will try to hold your attention long enough for you to realize; "Jay's got a good point," or for some of you, you might be thinking, “what the heck did he just say?" Either way let's get started and see if we can stir things up a little. Let me tell you a little bit about myself that will qualify me as a respected writer, and a thinker who is way ahead of his time, and well behind on his rent. Now it's come to my attention that for some of you, as soon as you get caught up on your bills, the next ones are due already. For most of you I realize how frustrating that can be, and although I've been in your shoes, it appears that you've got it figured out better than I do, because I haven't quite got down the part about "being caught up on your bills", however, and I hate to boast, I can honestly say that last week I didn't see a single bill, but the mailman told me I need to empty my mailbox, so that stretch of good luck came to an abrupt halt. So now what? I begin the sorting process, dividing my bills up into three different groups. "This is how we do it", and this my friend is why I may be broke, yet I'm the mastermind behind this time tested sorting system. The man with the plan, the king of the hill, the master of the three day notice to evict. Been there, done that, but that was before my system was totally fool proof, and this fool will prove it. So I sort my bills into three separate groups; the bills I must pay, followed by the bills I must pay now, and I take those 2 piles and gently place them into a third pile, which is the most important part of the entire sorting system. I like to call this very organized group," The bills I can't pay pile", which now systematically, and I must say from years and years of testing, now only leaves me with only one pile, where there once was three. Brilliant! Stick with me and I'll take you places you've never dreamed of. This has been a test. It is only a test! Had this been a real emergency, we would have all been in a lot of trouble. Stay tuned, I have plenty more tests to reveal to you, to make your life just that much easier. Ciao
HEADS I WIN, TALES YOU LOSE.. Published 9/24/05
We've all heard the phrase the rich get richer, and
the poor get poorer. Most of us don't stand a chance of keeping a corporate
job, or any job for that matter, until we retire. Sorry, no gold watch and no
retirement fund. But not to worry, you can still count on your social security
check, assuming we still have that option when our tome comes.
It's a no win situation, heads they win and tails you lose. Don't think that you are any different then the rest of us, we are all in the same boat, heading up the river without a paddle. Fear not my friend, I shall lead you from your bondage and take you on a journey to a brave new world. A place where people get paid twice as much money if they do twice as much work. A land of opportunity, where you will retire young and always provide for your families needs and still have enough left over to provide for your families wants. Your own business; the more you put into it the more you profit from it. Soon others will be working for you, building their own nest eggs. In the beginning we take on this process part time. We work full time at our job for our wages, and part time at home working on our fortune. In a year or so we leave our job and start working full time on our fortune. Doesn't that sound great, waking up each day whenever we want, and go to work for ourselves working on our fortune. This is being done right now by thousands of people, making millions of dollars. It's called residual income. Let's use the health care industry as an example. If you sell a dental plan and the product has a good retention level, then that person will keep that plan month after month, and year after year. You will continue to be paid a commission on that plan month after month, and year after year as well. Do the job right once and get paid on it time and time again. There are a few reputable companies out there making a lot of people a lot of money. I know of one company off hand that are seeking 2,000 more people to train for top level positions due to their large expansion. These are people from all walks of lives, so the opportunity is out there. Wouldn't it be nice to look in your mirror one morning, and see your boss smiling back at you? You have to love that! Jay Bartels is considered to be a highly respected source in the Home Business Industry. Jay left his job in corporate America and now works full time from his home. He is a single father raising two precious daughters.
WHEN WE REPLACE ONE ADDICTION WITH ANOTHER Most people don't realize that when we are recovering from an addiction to drugs, including alcohol, it is not necessarily the end of our addictive behaviors. The drugs were just a symptom of our disease, yet the behavior often lives on and manifests itself in different venues. I had to learn the hard way that my drug abuse wasn't my only bad vise. We often replace our drug addiction with gambling, shopping, and even eating. I know I can't go to the dog track or a casino. I never leave until I've spent every penny I had. On occasion I would win, but return the very next day and give them all their money back, as well as whatever I could get from the ATM machine. So I don't go to places that tempt my addiction. I don't pretend to be cured because my addiction has been under control for a number of years, because I still feel it strongly urging me to live like a normal person without a long history of addiction problems. My disease wants me to think I can drink an occasional glass of wine, or go on a casino cruise and just spend $20 for a little entertainment. We can never under estimate the power of a sick mind, and when our addiction has control over our thought process and acts on it's own behalf, then we are the victim of our own sick thinking. We are in dire straits. We never rid ourselves of our addictive nature, we deal with it one day at a time, constantly reminding ourselves that even though we are addicts in recovery, our disease never ceases to tempt us. That's why it's so very important to remember our disease took us and how we must make a conscious effort everyday to recognize it exists, and win the battle for one more day.
